The Sinister Diesel Universal Coolant Filter Kit is designed to extend the service life of your Duramax, Powerstroke, or Cummins-powered diesel truck by removing dangerous contaminants and deposits from inside the engine's cooling system. Whether your diesel engine is low on miles or has had a long service life, particles like casting sand, metal shavings, rust, and mineral deposits contaminate your coolant and can result in not only reduce the heat capacity of your truck's cooling system, but also lead to overheating, breakdowns, and even damage to water pump bearings and the small passages inside your EGR cooler over time. With the Sinister Diesel Universal Coolant Filter Kit, you can be sure your cooling system is working at maximum efficiency. This universal Coolant Filter Kit includes all mounts and fittings needed for installation and is machined from 6061 billet aluminum. The filter boss includes 2 threaded inlet ports and 1 outlet port. We recommend replacement of the first filter at 500 miles and replacement of the second and third filters after 3,000 miles each. After three filter changes, replacement can be done once a year.
