Turbo-Guard FAQ

What is a Turbo-Guard / Blower-Guard?

Turbo-Guard and Blower-Guard are high-flow protective screens designed to prevent debris from entering your turbocharger or supercharger inlet while still allowing maximum air flow. They are a one-piece design with a stainless steel mesh securely molded or fitted for strength and durability.

What do TurboGuard screens protect against?

Turbo-Guard screens help block harmful objects such as road debris or large particles that can damage your turbo seals and compressor wheel. While not a substitute for a cone air filter, they offer protection in situations where traditional filters won’t fit.

Will a TurboGuard slow down airflow?

No. TurboGuard products are engineered with an open-mesh design that ensures maximum airflow and high-horsepower performance without significant restriction.

Are Turbo-Guards only for turbo applications?

No — Blower-Guard versions are specifically made for supercharged/blower systems, while TurboGuard variants are optimized for turbo inlets. Both are suitable for boosted applications where space is tight and conventional filter setups may not be feasible.

How do I install my TurboGuard / Blower-Guard?

1. Make sure the engine is off and cool.
2. Slide the TurboGuard into position over the turbo/supercharger inlet.
3. Attach the included worm-gear clamp around the base.
4. Tighten the clamp until snug — avoid over-tightening.
5. Double-check security before use.

Will Turbo Guard stop water from entering my turbo?

Turbo Guard is designed primarily to block debris — it does not function as a complete water barrier and isn’t a substitute for a proper intake system designed for water ingress protection. Always use appropriate components for hydro-safe builds.

Can I still use a cone or panel filter with Turbo Guard?

Yes, but Turbo Guard is primarily designed for applications where traditional air filters don’t fit — like tight turbo inlets or blowers — rather than replacing a full filter setup outright.

Are Turbo Guard screens vehicle-specific?

No — most Turbo Guard and Blower-Guard units are universal and can be sized to fit a wide range of turbos and superchargers. Always verify inlet size before purchase.

Where are TurboGuard products made?

Turbo Guard products and guards are proudly made in the USA.
