The COMP Cams® Cam Phaser Lockout Kit eliminates variable valve timing (VVT) to make the installation of larger cams possible for horsepower increases. The phaser lockout prevents VVT from moving the camshaft installed centerline while increasing the piston-to-valve clearance for the introduction of a larger camshaft. An installation tool is included for easier installment as well as the special socket necessary to remove the factory camshaft phaser retaining bolt.
