Stock cast iron distributor gears are not compatible with steel camshafts. COMP Cams Bronze Distributor Gears are the first requirement when installing a steel roller cam. They are made from AMPCO-45 extruded aluminum bronze with 5% nickel added. They feature a high strength tooth design that resists wear even when used with high pressure oil pumps.
