High Carbon cast iron, compared to the standard materials used offers a higher damping coefficient that decreases vibration and noise, improves brake behavior and ensures better driving comfort and better heat conduction properties that allows faster transfer of heat from the braking surfaces to other surfaces shortening cooling times. For Xtra discs special alloy high carbon materials are produced and tested to have greater resistance to the thermo-mechanical stress to which the brake disc is subjected
