Hydraulic Bearing Bleeding Instructions

Important: Make sure the clutch master cylinder has been bench bled before bleeding the hydraulic bearing. This helps prevent trapped air from remaining in the system.

1. Prepare a clear drinking cup or a plastic water bottle with the top one-third removed.
2. Fill the container approximately halfway with brake fluid.
3. Open the bleeder valve two to three turns and completely submerge the bleeder fitting in the brake fluid.
4. Do not use an extension hose to reach the container. Air can enter around the bleeder-valve threads.
5. Have a helper push the clutch pedal quickly and completely to the floor, pause, then slowly release the pedal.
6. Wait five seconds before repeating the cycle so the system can replenish the fluid.
7. Continue the process until no more air bubbles appear. As the pedal is pushed, air bubbles will escape. As the pedal is released, brake fluid will be drawn back into the bearing.
8. Keeping the fitting submerged, reach into the container and finger-tighten the bleeder valve using your thumb and index finger.
9. Remove the bleeder fitting from the container, then finish tightening the valve with a wrench.
