Now what we mean by that is this kit features everything that HSP Diesel makes for the LLY Duramax to take it to the next level in performance and looks. This is the bundle kit that you want if you are looking to do everything you can all at once to maximize your factory setup and drop-in style aftermarket parts.
Tell us about the Billet Forward Facing Thermostat Housing that is in the Max Air Flow Bundle
The Billet Forward Facing Thermostat housing that comes with the Max Air Flow Bundle is a great piece of the puzzle. What this does is helps reduce the bottleneck that we see in the coolant system from the factory. The stock setup has a cross-over that goes over the driver's side valve cover. This removes that and makes space where necessary, all while giving the engine the ability to cool better.
Tell us about the Hot Side Intercooler Tube that is in the Max Air Flow Bundle
The factory Hot Side Intercooler pipe is not the best design. The major issue that is found on the stock application is that the power steering line rubs through the pipe and we also see issues with the boots staying on the pipe. Both of these issues cause boost leaks which cause a loss of power and overall performance. HSP Diesel solves both of these problems by changing the angle the tube goes into the intercooler. We also bumped the diameter of the tube to 3 Inch and that made a difference in the air we can push through to the charge air system.
Tell us about the Replacement Coolant tank that is in the Max Air Flow Bundle
The factory coolant tank is very lackluster, to say the least. It also fails often due to cracking in the plastic. So we made this Replacement Coolant tank that is made of metal that is then welded together to fit perfectly in the factory space. The Replacement Tank is also fitted with all the factory provisions and fittings that are needed and features the factory low coolant sensor to prevent any issues with any engine lights.
Tell us about the Cold Air Intake in the Max Air Flow Bundle
The Cold Air Intake that is inside the Max Air Flow Bundle is something that you don't want to miss out on. Utilizing a 4 1/2 Inch mandrel-bent tubing you can force the maximum amount of air through that system. With HSP Diesels heat shield box that comes with our, Cold Air Intake will prevent the unwanted hot air from entering the system and keep you with the cool dense air. HSP Diesel has seen on average 20 additional horsepower and 58 pounds of torque. By design, this intake and heat shield box will not draw in air from the headlight bezel and fender port.

The VGT Intake Mouthpiece is a crucial component of the Max Air Flow Bundle. This piece allows all the air you are drawing in with the Cold Air Intake to actually make its way to the turbo. The factory Intake Mouthpiece is restrictive and just doesn't work like it needs to. With the HSP Diesel VGT Intake Mouthpiece, you will see added power and better spool-up times.
