Standard Heat Protection: The 28-1629SL provides base heat protection similar to an OEM-style spark plug wire. This is not Granatelli's upgraded high-temperature or Kevlar-protected version. If the wires will be routed extremely close to headers, turbo components or other intense heat sources, choose one of Granatelli's dedicated high-temperature wire sets instead.

Conventional spark plug wires use electrical resistance that consumes part of the ignition coil's available energy before it reaches the spark plug.
