Mineral transmission lubricant. This product was specially developed for mechanical transmission, synchronized or not synchronized gearboxes, gearbox/differential, transfer gearboxes and hypoid differentials without limited slip system operating under shocks, heavy loads and low revolution speed or moderate loads and high revolution speed. It is recommended for noisy or/and loaded gearboxes requiring API GL-4 / GL-5 and MIL-L-2105D standards. This product handles heavy loads and reduce transmission noise. Its formulation offers very high lubricating power to decrease friction and wear. This Extreme pressure lubricant offers a efficient anti-wear protection and brings anti-corrosion and anti-foam agents. This high viscosity product (140) at hot temperature provides a higher oil film resistance in extreme operation conditions : heavy loads, shocks, high temperatures. Therefore MOTUL HD 85W-140 is specially recommended when the xxW-90 lubricant requested by the gearbox manufacturer is not strong enough to handle very heavy loads, shocks or/and high temperatures
