It is common practice in engine building to plug the oil drain holes in a small block Chevrolet engine with a standpipe. Usually these are made of pipe and threaded in the holes. COMP Cams offers a custom extruded aluminum version with an internal hex for installation. It is simple, inexpensive and much easier to use.
