2008–2015 Audi R8 V8 / V10 Coupe Type 42 Front Lip Spoiler – Carbon Fiber

Sharpen the front-end stance of your first-generation Audi R8 V8 or V10 with this carbon fiber front lip spoiler. A direct-fit retrofit for the factory front bumper, this lip extends the lower bumper profile forward to visually lower the front end for a more aggressive, track-inspired presence with a genuine carbon weave finish.

Build

  • Material: Genuine carbon fiber, manufactured using a 3D design, CNC moulding, vacuum molding, and autoclave curing process for consistent resin distribution and a tight, uniform weave
  • Surface finish: High-gloss epoxy-polished finish in carbon black that holds its deep gloss appearance through sustained outdoor and driving exposure without fading or yellowing
  • Configuration: Single-piece front lip for the lower front bumper
  • Weight: Approximately 8.5 kg

Design & Finish

  • Aggressive stance: Extends the lower bumper forward to visually lower the front end for a more track-inspired forward profile
  • Carbon aesthetic: Directional weave and gloss black finish complement the R8's factory bodywork for a coordinated, motorsport-grade look
  • Factory-style integration: Precision-molded to follow the contours of the factory front bumper for a clean, seamless fit

Fitment

  • 2008–2015 Audi R8 V8 Coupe (first generation, Type 42)
  • 2008–2015 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (first generation, Type 42)
  • Fits the factory front bumper only — not compatible with aftermarket bumper configurations
  • Not compatible with the second-generation R8 (Type 4S, 2016+)

Package Contents

  • 1 × carbon fiber front lip spoiler
  • Mounting screws for installation

Installation

  • Screw-mounted: Secures with the included mounting hardware for a strong, durable fit built to withstand sustained driving and high-speed airflow
  • Drilling required: Installation uses factory front-lip mounting points and/or drilling — this is a permanent modification, not a reversible fit
  • Alignment: Ensure the lip is centered and symmetrical across the front bumper before final installation
  • Professional installation strongly recommended for correct positioning, hole placement, panel-gap consistency, and finish

Before You Install

  • This is a screw-mount lip — installation is permanent and may require drilling, so confirm placement carefully before securing
  • Confirm your R8 is a first-generation Coupe (2008–2015, Type 42) before ordering
  • Verify engine variant and generation using your model year and chassis code if you are unsure

K2 Industries & OUR OWN FAQ's

How do I check fitment?

Check the listing for your year, make, model, trim and engine. Body style, build date and factory options can matter. If the listing is unclear, send FI Performance your vehicle details and the product link or SKU before ordering.

What comes with this part?

Check the product description for quantities, hardware and accessories. Photos may show the part installed with other components. Ask us if you need to confirm whether a part is sold individually, as a pair or as a kit.

Will I need extra parts or modifications?

That depends on the part and your setup. Check for adapters, wiring, coding, tuning, trimming or additional hardware before booking installation. If you already have aftermarket parts, tell us what’s installed.

What should I check for headlights or tail lights?

Match your factory lighting type, connector and body style. Halogen, HID and LED assemblies can differ even on the same model. Check pre-facelift versus facelift fitment and features such as adaptive lights or leveling.

Should I have a shop install it?

We recommend a qualified installer for wiring, engine, brake and suspension work. Inspect the part and confirm fitment before cutting, drilling, painting or modifying anything.

When will my order ship?

Availability and lead time vary by item. If you’re working around a shop appointment or event, contact FI Performance for a current estimate before ordering.

How do returns and warranty claims work?

Contact FI Performance with your order number before sending anything back. Eligibility depends on the item, its condition and the applicable policy. If there’s damage or a defect, keep the packaging and send photos of the part, label and issue.

Is this part intended for street use?

Check the listing for any use restrictions and confirm the requirements where you drive. If you need a specific approval or certification, ask us to verify it for the exact part number before ordering.

How do I know if I have factory Xenon lighting?

Factory Xenon lights commonly have a blue-tinted output and a short warm-up period. Check your owner's manual or send FI Performance your vehicle details so we can help confirm your factory lighting type.

What is the difference between Halogen, HID and LED lighting?

Halogen lighting is the traditional, affordable option. HID lighting typically provides greater brightness, while LED lighting is energy-efficient and long-lasting. FI Performance can help you select the correct option for your vehicle.

How do I prevent lighting condensation?

Condensation can occur as temperatures change. Lighting assemblies are designed to minimize it; contact FI Performance for guidance if you see persistent condensation or have product-specific questions.
